"Recently I explained to a patron hoping to
contact younger physicians in the Columbia area
that she could create a "custom search" in the
Health Care module to generate a list of
physicians within a given age range. "

“ReferenceUSA is one of our most popular
databases with both staff and patrons. We answer a
variety of questions using it. One recent query
involved an elderly woman who had been rushed to
the hospital and needed to contact family and
friends to let them know what happened. She called
and asked us to look up the telephone numbers for
her and we were able to find them using
ReferenceUSA. ”

“An elderly man moved to a new neighborhood.
Neighbors would stop by to say hello and deliver
baked goods and they were very nice! Everyone
introduced themselves and pointed to their home,
but afterwards, he could not remember any of their
names. With ReferenceUSA I was able to print a
list of his neighbors' first and last names,
addresses and phone numbers. He was a happy
patron!”

"Recently I was able to assist a patron who
wanted to register a complaint with a business. I
was able to tell them the name of the person they
should direct their complaint to, the title of the
person and the address. Then we went to the
company Web page and got even more information for
the patron. This was a happy patron armed with a
lot of information to plead their case.
ReferenceUSA makes me look good. I don’t know
how I did reference queries without it. I would
not want to try. "
